FIFA suspende a Rusia para toda competición y la deja sin Mundial de Qatar

"Tras las decisiones iniciales adoptadas por el Consejo de la FIFA y el Comité Ejecutivo de la UEFA, que preveían la adopción de medidas adicionales, la FIFA y la UEFA han decidido hoy de forma conjunta que todos los equipos rusos, ya sean equipos representativos nacionales o equipos de clubes, serán suspendidos de participar en ambos Competiciones FIFA y UEFA hasta nuevo aviso. Estas decisiones fueron adoptadas hoy por el Bureau del Consejo de la FIFA y el Comité Ejecutivo de la UEFA, respectivamente, los máximos órganos de decisión de ambas instituciones sobre asuntos tan urgentes. El fútbol está totalmente unido aquí y en total solidaridad con todas las personas afectadas en Ucrania. Ambos presidentes esperan que la situación en Ucrania mejore significativa y rápidamente para que el fútbol pueda volver a ser un vector de unidad y paz entre las personas", dice un comunicado de FIFA y UEFA.

Following the initial decisions adopted by the FIFA Council and the UEFA Executive Committee, which envisaged the adoption of additional measures, FIFA and UEFA have today decided together that all Russian teams, whether national representative teams or club teams, shall be suspended from participation in both FIFA and UEFA competitions until further notice. 
 
These decisions were adopted today by the Bureau of the FIFA Council and the Executive Committee of UEFA, respectively the highest decision-making bodies of both institutions on such urgent matters.
 
Football is fully united here and in full solidarity with all the people affected in Ukraine. Both Presidents hope that the situation in Ukraine will improve significantly and rapidly so that football can again be a vector for unity and peace amongst people.
